CCS 2020 British Columbia Championships

As they predicted, the second pandemic wave is definitely here and with everyone being back indoors, it's even worse than the first.

While a few leagues got up and running this Fall, by provincial health services mandate, currently there are no pool leagues operating in BC or Alberta.

Once again, we have no alternative but to officially cancel the CCS BC's for this league year.

CCS 2020 Vancouver Island Championships

With no leagues operating on Vancouver Island this Fall, we are left with no alternative other than for CCS to cancel the VIC's for this League Year.

Other CCS Championships

A final decision on the CCS Canadian Championships and the CCS Maritimes Championship will be made in early January . Based on current conditions, we are not very hopeful that we will be able to stage either event.

However, we do think the chances are pretty good for the CCS 2020 Westerns in Calgary AB . The reason is that not only are the dates the farthest away in late April, the tournament site itself - Acadia Rec Centre - will allow us to stage it even later in the Spring or even early Summer if needed.

Should the health authorities be able to relax their restrictions as expected early in the new year, the CCS will reduce the eligibility requirements for the CCS Westerns to 2 weeks to accommodate the shorter session leagues would be operating.
