Hi everyone
A couple of notes: First from head office: Hi Jenny: The leagues are doing OK here in Alberta based on the Covid approach taken by the health authorities to date. Based on same, I remain hopeful that the CCS Westerns will happen as usual. Very few leagues are up and running elsewhere in Canada, so the other tourneys are not looking good at all (no leagues - no tourney).
Second, from Alberta Gov. https://www.alberta.ca/assets/documents/covid-19-relaunch-guidance-indoor-recreation-entertainment-play-centres.pdf *Patrons should be encouraged to wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival; before and after using equipment, amenities and games; or touching other surfaces. *Where food service is available, patrons should be encouraged to eat and be seated in a designated dining area. ** Keep food out of equipment, game and play areas to minimize the chance that patrons touch their faces or mouths after coming into contact with shared surfaces or equipment. *Patrons can be encouraged to wear masks. *Patrons not using the amenities or equipment (such as parents/guardians supervising children) should remain physically distanced from others outside their cohort.
So, here is the updated rule regarding masks. :Given that we all sit at a single table, and play on the pool tables. 1) If you are sitting and eating, the recommendation is to sit in the restaurant area near the entrance. 2) The recommendation is to wear your mask at all times. Remove only when eating or TAKING A DRINK 3) While playing, if you maintain the 6foot social distance rule, you can remove the mask. That means, if you are hanging out with the other team talking, you MUST wear your mask.
I will be warning players who continue to ignore this rule. I too make mistakes, and I want you to remind me and others. Repeat warnings may lead to further restrictions and/or consequences.
I don't want to be the reason we can't play pool. The team gets shut down. The league gets shut down, Top Shots gets shut down. Then I can't play.
Jenny
