Update on EPPA/CCS Edmonton

Two important dates!
Registration cutoff will be 8AM on Monday Sept 14
First night of play will be 7pm on Sept 17. Practice starts at 6pm.

Here’s the current plan. Note that changes may happen…
Currently, Top Shots has 3 of the barbox tables for us. There are a number of options that I have discussed with them, so if we have more teams, we will work something out. Currently, we have 5 teams, with a couple more pending.

Social Distancing and Masks
Everyone will be expected to wear a mask at all times EXCEPT: Playing, eating or drinking. For example: if you are actively in a game, you do not need to wear a mask.
If we all do our best to follow the rules, the Top Shots, the league and all players will be able to continue. No one wants to see anyone sick!

So, here’s a few of the important bits:
• 8 ball, 7’ tables
• Thursday evenings. Christmas/New Year’s weeks are off
• We will have two weekend tournaments
• Play begins at 7pm, practice tables at 6pm.
• Maximum of 10 (TEN) players on a team’s roster (Due to popular request, I am increasing this.)
• Players can’t play on multiple teams
• No spares. If 4 players show up, the fifth is a forfeit
• If 3 players arrive, the match will be played
• Handicaps will be the same format as last year, 17-point system
• Players start as an 8 minimum, then handicap updated weekly
• Strong players will have minimum handicaps
• If you can’t make it, contact the opposing team as soon as possible.
• Make-up matches are at the discretion of TOP SHOTS, and BOTH team captains
• Registration is $25 per player. Due on the first night they play. For the entire season or portion thereof
• Weekly fee is $60 per team. Due on the night of play
• No fees, no scores

CCS offers FIVE regional tournaments in Canada, Vancouver Island, Penticton, Calgary, Charlottetown, and Niagara Falls. Each has multiple events: 8ball singles, 9ball singles, 8ball scotch, 8ball teams mixed, 8ball teams women. Big news is that teams can come from any chapter. That’s right! You can jump on a team from any city.

So get your team name registered even if you don’t have all your players figured out.
